FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Will my piece be dry by the end of the class?

A: Resin, which sets the piece, takes about 24 hours to dry, so it is best if pieces are picked up the next day.

Q: Can I bring my own wine or food?

A: Yes. Wren’s Nest does NOT provide alcohol. Guests over 21 are welcome to bring adult beverages to sip while you create. Food is also allowed.

Q: Do I need a reservation?

A: To guarantee that we have an available spot, you are welcome to make an advanced reservation, but it is not necessary. We accept walk-ins during our open hours, but recommend you let us know if you are bringing a group.

Q: Do you do private parties?

A: Yes. We have supplies for up to 20 people. We provide the glass, embellishments, and pre-painted canvases, instructions and inspiration. Please contact us for more information and current rates.

Q: What size is the canvas? Do you paint on other things besides canvas?

A: We normally use 8” x 10”, 11” x 14”, or 12” x12” canvases. However, we have other sizes and types of surfaces at additional costs. We can also order any other materials you would like such as wood panels, word signs, frames, ornaments, etc. To plan a custom piece, contact us.

Q: Can you ship my finished artwork to me if I’m visiting the area and can’t pick it up?

A: Yes. We can arrange shipping for all pieces. Shipping costs vary depending on size and weight.

Q: Can children younger than 6 participate as well?

A: Our studio contains small pieces of glass and other sharp objects so we do not allow young children or toddlers to make art unfortunately. We have their safety in mind and want to prevent them from swallowing glass (it looks like rock candy) or cutting themselves. Please make arrangements for babies and toddlers to remain outside the studio. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Q: Can I bring my own surface or template to work from?

A: Yes. If you have a specific surface you want to add glass to you are welcome to bring it instead. You can also bring a stencil or template to trace from onto our canvases if you have something specific in mind! We provide some stencils as well. To plan a custom piece, contact us.

Q: Where are you located and where can I park?

A: We are located in Downtown Basalt at 227 Midland Ave, Suite 16A. We are next to the salons and gun shop, across the street from the Catholic Church, Saint Vincent de Paul. You can park anywhere on the street that says 2 hour parking.
